I facilitate vision.

The Outer Edge’s mission is to support individuals and community institutions to realize the depth and truth of who they are, and to activate the manifestation of that truth in the broader world.

WHO BENEFITS FROM WORKING WITH THE OUTER EDGE ?

A broad array of individuals: performers, writers, healers, artists, as well as mission-driven organizations and sacred communities, work with me. Together we sharpen the focus on your values and intention in order to achieve the truest expression of your soul’s mission.

My work is interdisciplinary, informed by a kaleidoscopic skill set as a pastor, social activist, community organizer, arts producer, impresaria, ceremonialist, and facilitator. The Outer Edge offerings range from one-on-one coaching, to the design and production of large scale community rituals and performances, to Family & Systems Constellations, mentoring young adults, end-of-life counseling, and grief work.

WHY DOES THIS WORK MATTER?

There is a creative force inherent in all people. Working with you, we cultivate the passion, acumen and discernment that fires your imagination and refines your mission. I support you in the process of shedding that which no longer serves and fertilizing your vision into form. This relentless pursuit to cultivate the ‘Blessed Unrest’ of creativity, to loosen the structures that limit the free movement of spirit in our lives, and to ignite the passion for your truest self-expression, is my hallmark.

LINEAGES

My professional lineages: Among the greatest influences are earth-based spiritual traditions, shamanic healing arts, the Episcopal Church, and Jungian analysis. In Systemic & Family Constellations, my teachers have included trainer/facilitators Suzi Tucker, Jane Petersen, PhD, Leslie Nipps, and Barry Krost. I also have extensive training in Placemaking Training through The Project for Public Space and Leadership Training through The Atlas Project.

My ancestral lineages: On my mother’s side, I come from the Corbíere family, whose ancestral homeland was in the Corbíere region of southwestern France, a place infused with desert, mysticism, and wine. On my father’s side, I come from the Mandeville family. My ancestor Geoffrey de Mandeville was a Norman noble who signed the Magna Carta in Britain.

Additional lineages: My original imprint began with Music, via my mother. Music is a dominant tonic in my life, the key signature to which I return, time and time again. It sources the depth of feeling and creates a language of communion across all polarities and divisions.  I also acknowledge the woods, the desert, the pollinators, and Fire

EXPERIENCE

Starting in 1984, I began my professional career as a Producer, Pastor, and Community Developer in New York City. As a Lecturer in Professional Development at Union Theological Seminary, I led the PD group and oversaw the students’ field work. I served as Vice President of The Clinton Fund, and was Founder/President of Clinton Community Services, a not-for-profit organization serving the homeless population of Times Square/Hell’s Kitchen neighborhoods. I also founded Clinton Peer AIDS Education Coalition, a harm reduction project serving the at-risk population of Times Square.

As an Episcopal priest I served as the Rector of St. Clement’s, the Episcopal church/theater in Hell's Kitchen, as Ecumenical Chaplain at Bard College.

I am a trained facilitator in the Systemic & Family Constellations and have co-led a practice group for facilitators.

As an artist, I express my creativity through poetry, photography, sculpture, theater and ritual. I was the founder of a ritual theater company, The Wyrd Sisters

I am dedicated to continually enlarging my familiarity and capacity with healing and coaching modalities, cross-pollinating with other research-driven colleagues in the fields of personal, spiritual, and social evolution.

CURRENTLY

I’m the founder and producer of IgniVox Productions, a production company dedicated to the spiritual, regional and environmental witness through the arts.

In addition, I’m the spiritual leader of Gateway House, a growing sacred arts community located in the mid-Hudson Valley of New York state, where I live, write poetry, and tend sacred fires.

I facilitate an ongoing Constellations group and am particularly ignited by cross-pollination with my colleagues in somatic-based modalities.

I am grateful to live a life dedicated to making a true difference among the people and communities I serve and love.
